My reality just now is inside at my desk, here at my computer, while outside, just feet away, heavy, wet snow falls on the oaks, the pines & cedars, the boulders, and though it’s so very lovely I’m visually absorbed by this photograph – drawn closer and closer to this color otherwise absent in my reality, this red, red gorgonian. This image appears on my screen but it’s also in my memory, and through the magic of the camera I am very much back underwater, focused on this vibrant sea fan.
Mother Nature rules! Here in California, while the rest of the country suffers through never-ending snow and rain, we have the mother of all droughts – scary dry – climate is a’changin’. But wonder of wonders, it’s been raining for several days and in the wee hours it all turned to lovely snow – it’s thankfully finally white in my mountain backyard.
Tooting my horn? Well, perhaps…if not, then what else might it be, one’s website? It’s also a bit like one hand clapping? Clapping happens when both hands move toward one another somewhat forcefully, or when one hand makes the move to the stationary other. I’d love to be the hand that has you moving in toward me – and a conversation would be ideal! I love to talk about photography and getting the shot, or talking about not getting the shot is also great fun.
